Land-based Engineering
What is land-based engineering?
Land-based engineering is all about applying technical, engineering and scientific knowledge to solving problems in the agricultural industry. The industry is diverse, and made up of dealerships, manufacturers, the groundcare sector, forestry and garden machinery dealerships and manufacturers.
The land-based engineering industry has an estimated turnover of £2 billion, with nearly £1.5 billion contributed by UK-based manufacturers. In 2002, a total of 14,037 agricultural tractors were registered in the UK.
